This is where I would defer to Fizzle to help you. #My getamped2 on mac wont load full#All the other viewers are a lot closer to the Official viewer - like the Official viewer with a few new features sprinkled in, where Firestorm is akin to a full rebuild of the viewer. The reason this is a possibility (this is only my own hypothesis) is that Firestorm is a "pig in a poke" for many (Bloated, too many fancy "power-features" for most people) - and all that extra whizzing bells and whistles also make that viewer more complicated under the hood. So my theory at this point (I'm not there to see everything happening and how) is if you swapped out some hardware (RAM, Storage, etc.) and it's not official Apple-branded, there could be a conflict that Firestorm (specifically) is not liking. #My getamped2 on mac wont load drivers#There is another bug that affects Firestorm (perhaps others, I've not heard this) where a specific Intel graphics chit set and drivers make the viewer fail on Windows. For example, there is a known bug (slated for a fix in Firestorm, already fixed in LL viewer and others) where alt-clicking an object would send the camera view into chaotic directions on Mac. This will not help, but for edification purposes: The viewers seem to be very sensitive to chips sets and drivers. Okay, "expansion" part is new information - so your hardware has also changed? You could try grabbing an older version of Firestorm just to see if there's something going on in the FS app itself, but unlikely. If you have actually done that and still get the same result, something is amiss with your system (I run the latest firestorm on the latest version of Mojave (10.14.6 as I write this) - no issues. Well, the other way is to format your drive and reinstall the OS from scratch. The App Zapper I linked to is a commercial version - search Mac App Store for "App Uninstaller" - grab a freebie - you only need it once, right? it is the *only* way to completely and fully remove any app and it's supporting files. Even Firestorm's own "clean install" instructions does not do a true "clean install". When you say "uninstalled" - did you use an uninstaller app? because just throwing the app into the trash leaves a lot of cruft behind. #My getamped2 on mac wont load update#I still think the new mac software security update may be the issues. I have uninstalled and reinstalled everal times. Update: I followed all of the steps suggested by Alyona (thank you so much) but no change. Things should be working as expected at that point. If the problem persists, go to Mac App Store and grab a free Uninstaller app ( I use APP ZAP: ) - Uninstall Firestorm with it (Uninstaller app cleans *everything*) - the download and reinstall. I always do it three times just to be sure. Click the repair button and let it finish. Then run Disk Utility on your SSD or Hard Drive. I much prefer figuring out the issue with firestorm. Except I have never used it and it will take time to learn the new layouts and commands. (additional comment) In an effort to isolate the problem, I downloaded "secondlife viewer" and it works fine. Any advice? Has anyone else had this issue? #My getamped2 on mac wont load mac os#So all that remains is to assume that the latest mac os upgrades are blocking firestorm. I have reinstalled firestorm and have logged in from a different computer. I can start over by opening the firestorm icon, but it does the same thing every time. It does not load and does not even show up in the finder. #My getamped2 on mac wont load pro#Release Shift once your icons and desktop appear.Īfter completing these steps on MAC, some less necessary programs and customization options that normally start-up when you log-in will have been disabled.Yesterday I upgraded my MacBook Pro with version 10.14.6 and now when I try to open firestorm, I put in my user name and password and hit click and the icon and program just disappears.
